Buenos Dias!!
I hope you are all suuuuper happy and excited that 2014 has started!! Crazy. Here in Peru, we were sleeping, regaining our energy for the following day when at 12AM, fireworks started going off like crazy for about an hour straight. :) Haha I just love Peru :) They know how to celebrate.
The rest of the week was awesome! Nothing super extraordinary happened, just that it was a super good week with happiness and a lot of small new things happening. We have found a lot of new people to teach, and we are working a lot with specific less actives to help them remember that Heavenly Father really does love them and wants them to return to His fold. :) I love it. This work is really irreplaceable. :)
I had a cool experience the other day that was a testimony builder to me that really this is Heavenly Fathers work and that as we live worthily, He works through us to help other people. On thursday morning, I woke up with the name of one of the members of our ward in my head (Maria). I thought to myself, well thats wierd, and I kind of shoved it out of my mind. As I was getting ready in the morning, her name popped into my head again, and again I ignored it. A third time, during personal study, again, her name popped into my head and so I said to my companion, hey lets go visit her after our studies, even though I have no idea why.
Long story short, we went over to visit her and one of the first things she said was ¨Hey! Hna´s, I have a friend that I want you to teach.¨ SO we went and visited her friend who turns out that her husband had passed away a bit less than a year ago. We taught her that she can see him again and that as she listens and applies our message, she would be able to be happy again. It was special to see her whole countenance change as we taught her. The spirit was strong and I know that it is because what we shared was true.
If we are worthy, The Lord works through us to help others. It is awesome :)
Con mucho amor siempre,
Hermana Elisheva Ali :)
PS. My chilean companion has a cool chilean apron...so in the picture...I represent Chile :)
