Hola familia!
Buena semana familia!!! Oh boy, this week was great! Unfortunately, I really dont remember a whole lot of details, just that it was a great week with a lot of great things that happened. :) We are slowly but surely getting to know the area, the members, the investigators, the bus routes, and adjusting to Lima again after being out of it for about 10 months. I love it! There are super great people here and I just know and feel like I am here, in the Canevaro ward for a reason. My companion is great and we are working hard together, and seeing the blessings that come from dilligence, persistence and patience. I really just love this work so much!
This saturday, we have a baptism of a sister...Grecia! She is the daughter of a less active member of the church (Ines) who has recently come back with a lot of excitement and a strong testimony to help. :) Grecia is super special and we are excited! This week we also were introduced to a sister named Maria. Maria is super great and is passing through a lot of difficulties and a lot of temptations in her life. She feels like she has gotten off on the wrong path and has been a bit far away from our Heavenly Father. She really has a strong desire to do whta is right and she is willing to do what it takes to be forgiven of her sins. Just this week, working with her and explaining the process of repentance has been a blessing. There is a light in her eyes that wasnt there before and is starting to have a better understanding of the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
There truly is no greater blessing, and no greater joy than to share with people the restored Gospel of the Jesus Christ and share with them that forgiveness is possible. All that is required is humility, effort and trust in Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father loves us so much and wants to help us in whatever way He can. We need to choose correctly, and He will be there :)
I hope your week is wonderful! This Saturday, we have the opportunity to sing in a choir for Elder Russell M Nelson from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. I will let you know how it goes and what I learn :)
Con mucho amor siempre,
Hermana Elisheva Ali
